Paris-Saclay will federate an exceptional scientific potential, bringing together Founding Members of varied but complementary
nature: 2 universities, 10 "grandes écoles" and 7 research organizations. To address ever-increasing global competition in teaching, research and innovation, the Founding Members of Université Paris-Saclay have decided to combine their resources by 2014 and create a joint teaching and research project of the highest international level.
An internationally recognized University
As part of an extremely fast-changing and competitive research and training environment, the Univesité Paris-Saclay is developing a strategy of international academic cooperation based on high-quality training courses and cutting-edge research provided by its members.
Starting in 2014, the University will federate a significant part of its offering of Master's cursus and PhDs. Financial support will be offered to top international Master's students.

Higher education: taking advantage of attractive study options
The Université Paris-Saclay will offer top international-level courses in the areas of Natural Science and Human and Social Sciences for Bachelors to PhDs. Students will be able to take advantage of flexible study options, and become career-ready in a proactive way.

Several thousands of researchers will benefit from an environment specifically designed for enhanced interactions.
The University's institutions are setting up a coordinated, campus-wide research strategy, concentrating their energies on the challenges of fundamental as well as science socio-economic issues to achieve the highest level of expertise worldwide.
Several fields of scientific research teams are moving closer together on campus, in particular those addressing the areas of food/agriculture, pharmacy, nanosciences, cell biology, neurology, physics of lasers, highperformance digital calculation, information science and technology.
Innovation: at the heart of an economic and scientific cluster
Over 20,000 researchers and engineers from the private sector are already developing tomorrow's products in the Paris-Saclay
area.
The Université Paris-Saclay is located in the heart of one of the largest European clusters for economic and private research. New public/private joint labs are being developed in the fields of information technology, energy efficiency, photovoltaic energy, mobility, etc. and will benefit from the support of both private and public contributors.
Several large multinational companies have already established their center for corporate development, research and training in the Paris-Saclay area, such as Danone, Air Liquide, Thalès, and EDF. The Paris-Saclay economic area also hosts Alcatel-Lucent's Bell labs, Dassault Systemes, Ipsen and General Electric.
